Pretty Cure Splash Star 20

Time to get wet and muddy in yet a third new episode of Pretty Cure Splash Star!

Someone commented saying the video went out of sync during the opening and ending credits. In this episode I've included a second subtitle track without the karaoke effects -- could you try it out and let me know if it's any better? (I have noticed that a lot of mkv fansubs don't use karaoke effects, or hardsub them.)

Just to notify you, out of those Japanese comment posts, 99% come from spam bots that lead you to a jp porn site;;; Anyway, I admire your consistency to release the episodes, keep it up.

Thanks for picking this up again!

Between you and Eggplant (subbing YPC5), there's life in the Pretty Cure universe again. :)

I'd thank Toei for the US-market release of the original Pretty Cure last month, too, if only they didn't freaking require you to use Windows to download/play them.

Am I the only one for whom the 20th episode crashes as soon as the subtitles come on ? I'm using VLC for Mac OS X, which plays #18 and #19 fine, but doesn't like #20 for some reason.

Thanks for continuing to sub this show. I've always prefered the H264 encodes to the xvid ones, and I've had no prob running yours so far.

I found a Dirce download link for the episode already.

Oiseau: Eek, that's very unfortunate if fixing it for some people has broken it for others. Since the only thing I changed is adding another subtitle track, have you tried playing about with those (testing it with each of them, and making sure it isn't trying to play both at once or something)? Do you have the latest version of VLC? I gather that they're about to do a big update, but unfortunately I don't think it's out yet to try. I'll also try it out on my friend's Mac and see if I can reproduce the problem.

Raymond: I'm about to put up a batch of 1-10, so I'll be seeding that, albeit slowly. Expect an 11-20 batch in the next few days.

Adam: It says "file not found" on the avi version...

Neither subtitle track works for me. However, the episode works fine when downloaded as an AVI. The subs even show up with the correct font and size (something they fail to do when played as MKVs). So I'll just have to get the AVI versions, as long as they keep being produced on the side.

Hm, it's a shame... I seem to be the only one seeding the recent three episodes... After it reaches 2.0, a few seconds later it's back to 1.0 (one full source)..
I do it slowly, but I do it

Oiseau: The font issue is a slightly infamous fault of VLC. If you watch other mkv anime too, it might be worth trying out other software -- I don't have a Mac so I don't know all the details, but apparently a plugin for QuickTime called Perrian is meant to work better than VLC?

That last Anonymous: The most recent 3 episodes have plenty of seeds (dozens even) according to the tracker. If you're only looking at your BT software, it might be misleading by only telling you which peers you're connected to.

Thanks to the "XviD" guy who keeps linking to the XviD versions that have been uploaded. I'll put a link to them on the blog as soon as I've got one downloaded to test out myself.

And both episodes work fine with me...I'm watching everything with KMP and I didn't notice something beeing off...but maybe because I always skip the opening xD

Well just have to say thank you again for these great episodes <3

As far as I can tell, they don't have one. They're doing a good job at trying to stay anonymous. Their torrents are at http://tracker.anirena.com/g.php?g=526
